The program's design, which has been predominantly shaped by Stacks community members (i.e. community members that are not full time employees of major Stacks entities), enables the community to play a leading role in grant funding decisions.

With the guidance of over 20 community grant stewards, Stacks community members make thoughtful recommendations on where, to whom, or to what funds should be allocated.

Core principles and values that underpin this pilot program:
